About Us

Endeavour Academy is a day special school catering for up to 80 boys and girls aged between 11 and 16 with education health care plans identifying their social, emotional and mental health difficulties.

The school is committed to providing pupils with a broad, balanced curriculum and is well equipped and resourced. The staff team work hard to develop and implement a wide range of behaviour management strategies.

Children admitted will have an educational health care plan (EHCP). In exceptional circumstances a child may be admitted with parental agreement and that of the school and Special Educational Needs Department while he or she is being assessed, as an emergency placement.

The school has an agreed admissions policy that ensures that full and frank discussions take place with parents, pupils and staff prior to admission. It also ensures that parents and carers visit the school during school hours. Once an admission is agreed, parents and school sign a parental partnership contract that makes mutual expectations very clear.
