Happy New Year… Again!
Throughout this week we have been researching and learning about Chinese New Year. This has been during tutor times, food technology lessons and art, where they have been making Chinese lanterns.
To celebrate Chinese New Year, we put together a Chinese feast for staff and pupils to enjoy during break time in a fully decorated lunch hall with decorations by the pupils. This was a great way for them to socialise and enjoy an experience from another culture.
This year, Lunar New Year marks the beginning of the Year of the Rabbit according to the Chinese zodiac, which assigns different animals to years over a 12-year cycle.
