Careers Trip - Costco

Our Year 10 group was invited to visit Costco's in Chingford to take part in a work experience workshop. The students enjoyed a full tour of the warehouse and were informed about all the different roles within Costco. We were able to watch the bakery and butchery department at work and enjoy the tasty food. This trip gave the students a view of the retail aspect of a multinational company, and the various roles that exist in these locations. The departments that are based at a Costco warehouse include Optical, Majors, Hardlines, Produce, Bakery, Delicatessen, Butchery, Cafe, Receiving, Front- End, Administration. Students were given the chance to ask staff questions as we walked around.
